Dusting down

After they had taken of the local waters and enjoyed a mudpack or two, the family of elephants who joined us at the Ngutini Lodge camp in the Tsavo East National Park, Kenya decided that the time was right to dust themselves down, either to cool off or to protect their skin further against the heat of the African sun. Somehow, this image - taken in quick succession with around a dozen others - has an almost ethereal quality about it.
