Roald Dahl Plass
PreviousNextCardiff has undergone major redevelopment over the last few years, nowhere more so than in the bay area of the city. The main focus of the renovation has been Roald Dahl Plass, named after the much loved children’s author, who was born close to the city. The square is bordered on one side by the original Pierhead Building, and copper-domed Millennium Centre (right). At the top end is the Water Tower, better known to science fiction fans as the emergency exit to Torchwood Three. The Plass itself is a quiet and peaceful are to wander around, but has also hosted rallies and concerts.
