Munttoren Sunset
PreviousNextAmsterdam’s Munttoren (Mint Tower) has had quite a chequered history. Originally the base of one of the city’s giant gates, it has since been the temporary home of the country’s mint – hence the name – and its current incarnation is as a clock tower. The spire is particularly dramatic and formed a stunning silhouette when I took this photo in the early evening.
